The third shooting day

This is our last filming day, which is in another location (Vinhomes Thang Long) for party footages.

• We reused the curtain for the bedroom set in this set to cover the window so that the footages look more like in the night time and the party lights can appear more vividly. However, the curtain was still translucent so we added another layer of blanket to block light and also to add a green light effect on the background.

• For this blurry and slow motion effect, we used a small shutter speed to show that the character is drunk and not in a very conscious state.

• Because we reduce the shutter speed and the lighting of the set is not bright, so we had to set the ISO up max (1600).

• I am happy that the footages turned out just the way we wanted

For the fighting footages of Khue and her boyfriend - Bao, we filmed in 3 different angles: one down the stairs with the camera tilted up, one on Bao's eye level, and another over the shoulder shot with high angle.

• In the first angle (left picture), we intendedly put the stairs handle in between the character, to create a physical barrier between the two, indicating an impasse in the relationship.

• We got this inspiration from a scene in the movie The Royal Tenenbaum, when the barrier in the relationship between Margot and Eli is indicated by a pillar behind them

I'm very happy that every problem that we had from the 2 previous shooting days were not repeated on this day. However, we discovered a small problem after reviewing the footages after the shooting day: On the close up shots showing An's facial expression, she seemed like she was smiling. On the shooting day, when we looked at the acting we felt fine because we think that she looks more like she is grinding her teeth than smiling. But because An has an smiling facial structure, so when it is filmed, she may look like she is smiling. Nevertheless, overall the footages were all okay and we could still work with it so it's not too concerning.
